"Here there and everywhere"

5/31/06 - This season has been full of bad luck for Amanda Spotts and her team. Shortly after deciding not to run Grandview Speedway due to unfair qualifying procedures. Spotts' motor blew while running mid pack at Big Diamond Raceway. After shaking all the bugs out of the new motor everything appeared to be getting better. Amanda and her team then headed to Mountain Speedway for a 4 cylinder Enduro race. After an early race altercation, Amanda's car was showing signs of overheating. About 40 laps in to this 99 lap race the right front tire blew, Amanda was able to keep the car out of the fence but was unable to get the car back in to gear. About a lap later two cars got together and one was sent up the track rearending the 79 at full speed. Amanda was looked over in the ambulance and released but advised to go to the hospital. After hospital evaluation she was released with a concussion and no apparent damage to her back. At this point in time Amanda is very sore but wants to thank everyone for their concern.

2006 Racewear is on its way. Limited 2004 and 2005 stock is still available.

"Few More Shows"

10/1/05 - After a full season at Grandview and half a season at Big Diamond, Amanda and TAK-FUL Motorsports feel that they had a very progressive year and are looking forward to the end of the year shows and next season. Still on the schedule for the team are

Fall Harvest - October 8, 2005 - East Greenville, PA

Octoberfest  350 - October 29-30, 2005 - Hagerstown, MD

Delaware State Championship - November 5-6, 2005 - Delmar, DE

"TH Properties Freedom 76er"

9/10/05 - Bechtelsville, PA - With a brand new body hung on the #79, Amanda and the team nervously waited for the racing to begin. Dreading that this year would end up as the year before but praying for the best. After displaying the car and interviewing with Ernie Saxton, racing was soon to follow. This was not going to be an easy night with many invaders joining her in the battle to make it to the feature event. As the night went on Amanda didn't qualify but gave it a good run and bringing the car home in one piece.

"Oily Night"

7/2/05 - Bechtelsville, PA - Just as the team was preparing to load their car and head on their way to the races, they spotted a substance running from the bottom of the car. The oil filter seal blew out, after replacing the filter the same thing happen again. Finally they got the car to where they could load it. Making it to the track just as hot laps were being called to the track. After hot laps the team realized that once again there was oil coming from the bottom of the car. This time the crew spotted that the oil filter adapter was broken, something that doesn't normally happen, as they made their way through the pits Doug Manmiller repayed the favor and allowed the team to use the one off of their spare car. A solid heat run landed Amanda fifth, one spot out of a qualifying position, but also giving Amanda a pole starting spot for the consi. After leading two laps of the consi Amanda was involved in an accident and had a rough time getting back through the field, which left Amanda still unqualified for the 2005 season.

"George Stevenson Memorial"

7/1/05 - Minersville, PA - After missing warm-ups due to last minute changes that had to be made to the car, Amanda elected to start at the rear of the heat unstead of in her starting position, outside pole. Amanda's car was qualified through the heat due to the low car count, but it still wasn't handling quite right. In the next couple heats an unfortunate event left Doug Manmiller (11D) qualified but out of a ride. Amanda saw this as an opportunity to learn more about how to get the car to handle the way she wanted, so she gave her car to Doug for the night. After the first feature the rain came, therefore the second feature was postponed until 7/8/05.

This award was voted on by the Fans whom came to the show to see the cars. Soon after this show the 79 also was on display at a Fundraiser for the Upper Perkiomen Dance Team. Both shows were a huge success for motorsports awareness. Bringing more interest towards the sport.

"Ending the Season on a Good Note"

11/19/04 - Bechtelsville, PA - Amanda's Rookie season ended not quite the way she wanted but still very well. Amanda was honored with the "Best Newcomer" and "Most Popular Driver" Awards. Most Popular Driver Award is based on Fan vote only, so this was a great accomplishment. Overall Amanda and TAK-Ful Motorsports feel that the 2004 Season went very well. And they would like to thank everyone for their time and support.

"The Season Winds Down"

9/20/04 - PENNSBURG, PA - Amanda's 2004 Season is coming to a close as the points season has concluded at Grandview and the TH Properties Freedom 76 has been run.  There is just one more Open Competition race at Grandview and then Special Shows at Tracks like Hagerstown, MD and Delmar, DE.  Amanda also turned some laps last night (9/19) at the PennCan Speedway in Susquehanna, PA for their annual King of the Can event.  Amanda put in a great effort on a track she had never run with a Modified.  Don't be suprised to see TAK-FUL Motorsports show up at a Modified Race near you here in the "post-season!"

"A Short Night" - Grandview Week #10

6/12/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - It was definitely a short rough night for Amanda and the TAK-FUL Motorsports.  Amanda took to the track for heat race action from the fifth starting position.  An early race incident saw Amanda's #79 taking a hard hit into the turn two boiler plate.  The damage was more than the team was able to fix at the track, so the #79 Bicknell was sidelined for the evening.  Look for TAK-FUL Motorsports and Amanda to continue their quest for the Rookie of the Year honors every Saturday night at Grandview Speedway!

"Victim of Circumstance" - Grandview Week #9

5/30/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Amanda and TAK-FUL Motorsports pulled their first two modified race weekend over the Memorial Day Holiday as Amanda competed in regular Saturday Night Action and with the DIRT SouthEast Series at Grandview on Sunday.  It was definitely a rough weekend for the young Lady Racer.  Amanda dealt with tough passing conditions in her heat race and was looking to make a better run in the consi.  An incident in the consi set Steve Swinehart's Modified airborne, spinning and landing on Amanda's car as she had no where to go to avoid the incident happening in front of her.  Amanda's car was worse for the wear but she was able to continue, unfortunately not making it up through to a qualifying position.

Hard work by the TAK-FUL Motorsports operation got the #79 Bicknell back into race shape for the big World of Outlaws/DIRT SouthEast Modified Series show the very next day.  Amanda used the time to gain experience against some different competitors and made a good showing against the more powerful Big Block powered modifieds.

Amanda Spotts and TAK-FUL Motorsports would like to thank all who entered the coloring contest, they were all great!  The entries were judged by 4-Star Lettering and most of the prizes were donated by Radio Shack of Gilbertsville.  All contestants please stop back after the races.  Also everyone is invited to stop back after the races and take a look at all of the entries as they will be displayed in Amanda's trailer.

"Oh, so close!" - Grandview Week #8

5/22/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Amanda's 8th race of the season at Grandview  saw her almost qualify for the Feature Event.  A solid heat race run put her in a good starting spot for the consolation event.  She battled up into contention and had the spot for a time, but she slipped back before the checkers fell.  This strong run has excited the TAK-FUL Motorsports team and they know Amanda's first feature race is just around the corner.  Come out to Grandview every Saturday Night to see Amanda battle it out in the highly-competitive NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modifieds.  Racing starts at 7:30pm and be sure to stop back in the pits to the #79 trailer after the races!

"And then the rains came..." - Grandview Week #7

5/15/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Night 7 in Amanda's Rookie campaign was cut short by Mother Nature.  Amanda ran from the back of her heat and was able to run a solid race finishing where she started.  Then as the team was preparing to send Amanda back out for her consi the skies opened up and ended the night of racing.  Amanda will run that consi this coming Saturday Night along with another full night of racing action.  The show gets under way at 7pm this Saturday, May 22nd.  As always everyone is invited back to the Trailer after the show is over.  Kids will still have a chance to hand in there coloring contest entries and the winner will be announced May 29th during the races at Grandview.  You can still get your Amanda Spotts Sportswear as well.

"The School of Hard Knocks" - Grandview Week #6

5/8/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Amanda got her first real taste of how brutal dirt track racing can be.  Amanda took a hard lick in her heat race as she was driven into a wreck off of turn two, causing her car to be towed off of the track.  Quick work by the TAK-FUL Motorsports crew got Amanda back in action for her Consolation Race, but that race also had an unfortunate end.  The Rookie Campaign continues as Amanda returns to Grandview Speedway this Saturday Night.  The Amanda Spotts Sportswear is a hot seller, stop back in the pits after the races to get yours!

"Tough Crowd" - Grandview Week #5

5/1/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - As Racing enters the Month of May it is becoming obvious that tempers are beginning to flare.  In both Amanda's heat and consolation she showed grace and control as she avoided almost all the wrecks and spins.  She kept the car straight and turned good solid laps as she continues to learn the ins and out of the Berks County High Banks of Grandview Speedway.  Racing in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at Grandview Speedway continues this and every Saturday Night.  Don't forget to stop back after the races to pick up your Amanda Spotts/TAK-FUL Motorsports Sportswear!

"Knocking on the Door" - Grandview Week #4

4/24/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Amanda is now 4 weeks into her Grandview season and improvement can be seen every time she hits the track. In both her heat and consi Amanda showed great perseverance and strength as she is beginning to be able to race with the other competitors.  Amanda is now to the point where she is knocking on the door of qualifying for her very first feature.  Look for Amanda to give it another try this coming Saturday Night back at Grandview Speedway.

"The Pole Draw" - Grandview Week #3

4/17/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Amanda's third week of regular competition at Grandview started off with a draw of the coveted #1 ball, signifying a pole start in the first heat.   Amanda took her rightful position and didn't fall to the rear as she has been doing.  She tried hard, but some of the more experienced runners were able to use that experience to get around her.  A solid Consi run ended on early as Amanda was pushed into the infield.   Another Saturday Night and Another Race at Grandview for Amanda coming up this coming Saturday Night.

Amanda's "Trial by Fire" - Grandview Week #2

4/10/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Week 2 of 2004 at Grandview was a definite learning experience for Amanda, for in both her heat and consi she had to use some heads-up driving to avoid the many spins and wrecks around her in both events.  Amanda drove a very smart consi as she was able to thread through slower and spinning cars keeping her car under control and even got up to challenge for a qualifying position on 2 restarts.  Amanda returns to Grandview this coming Saturday Night for another night of action where racing is a "contact sport" at Grandview Speedway.

Spotts kicks off her Rookie Season at Grandview

4/3/04 - BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Grandview Speedway kicked off the 2004 season under cloudy and cold skies and young Amanda Spotts was there beginning her Rookie Campaign at the Berks County third-of-a-mile.  Spotts is starting off smart working from the back of the pack and getting a feel for her Bicknell Mount and how it will work with different track surfaces.  Spotts showed great talent keeping the car under control and keeping pace with the field in front of her.  Amanda returns to Grandview this Saturday Night for more action at the Bechtelsville oval.  Stay tuned for the latest news from TAK-FUL Motorsports!

Amanda makes her 2004 debut at Hagerstown.

3/7/04 - HAGERSTOWN, MD - Amanda Spotts and TAK-FUL Motorsports made their 2004 season debut at Frank Plessinger's Hagerstown Speedway today.  The team decided to tow down to gain valuable seat time as Amanda prepares for her Rookie Assault on Grandview Speedway.

Amanda ran from the back of both a heat and a consolation in her first time ever in competition on the big track at Hagerstown.  She looked good as she was able to keep pace with the Big Block Modified field in her Small Block powered mount.

TAK-FUL Motorsports will return to Hagerstown for the Small Block Modified event on March 21st.  Then the team kicks off the season at their home track, Grandview Speedway, the following week (3/27) for Practice Day.
